Deena Pierott is the Founder of the award winning and nationally recognized STEM+Arts program for youth of color called iUrban Teen. In 2013 she was honored as a White House Champion of Change in Technology Inclusion and has appeared in Essence Magazine in their 50 Black Female Founders to watch in November 2017 and in their February 2018 edition as one of the 15 STEM New Guards to watch. She is also currently serving as an Equity Strategic Advisor for the City of Seattle.

Ms. Pierott is also a public speaker, speaking on topics such as Every Day
Biases in the Workplace, The Art of Leadership, Women's Leadership, Women and the Hidden Color Barrier, and Diversity Recruiting and Retention. She most recently presented in Prague, Czech Republic for the Linux Foundation. She has served on several boards and commissions including a Gubernatorial appointment to the Commission on African American Affairs in the State of Washington.
